As I was thinking of what to name this blog I thought to myself 'What do I wish our society today had a more firm belief in?' Then it came to me last night as my roommates and I were watching Mulan, and singing to the song A Girl Worth Fighting For. I wish that all the girls in today's society knew that they can all be girls worth fighting for, but sadly I think that my definition of a girl worth fighting for, and the world's view of a girl worth fighting for, are not the same.
There is a quote that caught my eye while scrolling through pinterest one day. It says, " I often wonder if more girls were willing to be ladies, more guys would feel challenged to be gentlemen." Do you think that is true? If all girls decided to show respect for themselves and for others, by using clean language, dressing with class, being kind to others, and walking with an air of confidence and humility, would guys feel the need to be gentlemen? I think the answer is "YES!" If girls kept their standards high no matter the situation, then guys would stop being boys and become men! They would treat you with the respect you deserve. They would treat you like a princess. And doesn't every girl want to be treated that way?
